Nadine Robinson was born in London, Great Britain, in 1968 and came to New York in 1975. I present artworks that brings social and historical politics together with a modernism/ post-modernism which is located from a reference point of black urbanism. I work with subjects and objects that are specific to my experience. For example, my academic life, black media, spirituality (Jamaican mysticism or obeah), the socio-economics/ psycho-sociology of Bronx county, and my own sexuality.
