ELECTRA is a UK based contemporary art agency which specializes in curating, commissioning and producing ambitious cross-disciplinary projects by artists working across sound, moving image, performance and the visual arts. Through close collaboration with a range of venues and production partners, ELECTRA presents its projects across the UK and internationally. ELECTRA's core aim is to foster a dialogue between a range of disciplines of contemporary artistic practice and to provide a higher level of visibility and new contexts, opportunities and platforms for the artists it works with. ELECTRA was founded by Lina Dzuverovic and Anne Hilde Neset in May 2003 as a vehicle for producing ambitious cross-art-form projects. Projects produced and curated by ELECTRA to date include the performance programme 'Art Now Live' (2007, Tate Britain); 'The Wire 25' season of performances and events to mark The Wire Magazine's 25th anniversary (2007, London); group exhibition 'Her Noise' (2005, South London Gallery; touring 2006 - present); newly commissioned performance and film production 'Perfect Partner' by Kim Gordon, Tony Oursler and Phil Morrison's (2005, The Barbican Centre and 6 venues across the UK and Europe); Christian Marclay's performance 'Sounds Of Christmas' (2004, Tate Modern). In parallel, ELECTRA has run a steady programme of lectures, workshops and film screenings such as the Sound and the 20th Century Avant Garde lecture series commissioned by Tate Modern (Tate Modern 2005, 2006; touring 2006 - present).
